this is a historic moment. Mariupol is in Donbass & is majority ethnic Russian. They voted to become independent in 2014 after the coup & Russian language ban, that's why nationalists/extremists etc were sent there to suppress the city. They're finally getting their city back, albeit with some repairs needed.
