There are various reports in the media about ISIS not being defeated but a year ago the Pentagon announced there were less than 3,000 total ISIS fighters left. Last month they estimated 2,000 ISIS fighters in Syria & Iraq but they were difficult to remove as they're hiding in their tunnels. [source]
