10 hours of skaters in about 30 seconds. Panama Flats, Saanich (Victoria), Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. This was January 14. Today, January 15, there are more skaters out on the ice, but I haven't checked out the conditions myself. I plan to strap my skates on in a bit. The water isn't very deep there, about a metre at the deep spots, so it tends to be safer than skating on a lake. You can see a propane campfire near the end.
