Live: Trump addresses the nation on coronavirus pandemic 特朗普就新冠肺炎疫情发表全国讲话

Yesterday the WHO declared COVID-19 to be a pandemic.

There are 126,000 confirmed cases worldwide with 1,311 in the US.

 

Trump government's plan to fight the virus:

- Flights from Europe suspended for 30 days, effective from Saturday 14 March

   - Travel ban doesn't apply to UK where 460 cases have been confirmed

   - Travel ban applies to some cargo

- Insurance companies to waive co-payments for testing (not treatment)

- Additional loans available for small businesses

- Tax breaks for "certain individuals and businesses negatively impacted"
