A North Olmsted police officer is recovering today after an encounter with a violent suspect inside of the Walmart on Brookpark Road Tuesday afternoon. According to officials, officers responded around 2 p.m. for a report of theft with two suspects being identified and held inside of the store. 44-year-old Alexander Michalewicz and 35-year-old Britney Bullington, both of Cleveland, were accused of attempting to steal from the North Olmsted Walmart, and an initial search of Michalewicz found a homemade "zip gun." The 44-year-old man was transported to a patrol vehicle to be held while Bullington, who told officers that she was pregnant, was handcuffed in front of her body- a common practice used in policing when a suspect is pregnant.
