LOL - It wouldn't occur to him that she was asking if there was a lesson for him in all of this because he's a sociopath. He just takes the question as he would frame it - "anyone who threatens the interests of people as powerful as I am to that degree ends up dead." That doesn't mean he killed him, but he probably knows what really happened.
The lesson is that Epstein was SURE that he had everything he needed in place to protect himself (blackmail, dead-man's chests, etc.) and whoever killed him has shown that this was not in fact the case. Clearly. Society is a little weak bitch that is getting slapped around by bullies who laugh at us while they do it.
