To this day I still don't understand the Polanski thing. He raped a 13-year-old in the ass after drugging her and Hollywood sympathizes with him why? What is the defense put forth for this guy that has Hollywood top celebs demanding that he be pardoned and giving him standing ovations?

Polanski was both eloquent and heartfelt in his response to "Giving a 13 year-old girl quaaludes and champagne, then despite her protests, performing oral, vaginal, and anal sex acts upon her" by stating; "If I had killed somebody, it wouldn’t have had so much appeal to the press, you see? But… fucking, you see, and the young girls. Judges want to fuck young girls. Juries want to fuck young girls. Everyone wants to fuck young girls!"
He obviously deserves the rounds of applause and admiration of the Hollywood crowd. He's just a normal part of the culture.
