There's a few times when I was a kid that my leg sunk so deep in snow that I got stuck there and needed help from an adult to yank me out.
Other times I got out by myself, but my boot came off and was stuck in that deep hole so I walked back home with one bare foot and an adult had to go dig out my boot.
Honest to god, I have nightmares to this day, that I sink all the way in deep fucking snow and I'm fucked.
