Nice gallery this week. First, thanks for including Asian Jesus! I've been asking for this. Jewish Jesus is just a white guy with a beanie...which, may be the most historically accurate come to think of it. And black-Jesus. How come the women gathered round the base of the cross are white in that one. Did Morgan Freeman get together with white-Mary? Would be even cooler if Mary was black and God was white..or maybe that wouldn't go down as well. ;-)
That 'historical Jesus' one is the only one I'll object to. I'm old enough to remember the tv special where this first aired. Basically they grabbed a random male scull from the region 2000yrs ago and used forensic techniques to dress it up. The odds this looks like Jesus are about the same as it looks like you or me. Also, early iconography's whole point was to remind people that Jesus was real/historical. ie He walked among us (the cornerstone of the religion actually). Cheers.
