20:50 - Certain things like prison, health & education are best off being regulated in favour of the majority of people in the country IMO, so long as the borders are tight. His argument seems to be that high-end private health care can't co-exist with more socialisation/regulation. It's just wrong. With a more socialised approach the govt has to balance the budget & subsidize medical costs so they have an incentive to keep the health industry from getting out of control. It's an ongoing struggle with pharma companies who try to fleece people.
The only countries in the world who allow for pharma to be advertised are NZ & the US. You never see ads for pharma here. The main way the NZ government bends over for pharma lobbyists is by clamping down on alternative medicine / natural remedies.

What do you meanby "pharma":
ads for medicine or pharma companies?
Where do you live?
(Old Spike)
New Zealand. Ads for prescription medical drugs. Apparently there are some but I've never seen one.

Here in EU there are only ads for non prescription meds.
