The amount of stuff we can fix for 3$ is astonishing given the time you're willing to take to fix it.

If the caliper is left on the car like this you will never get all the dirt out.
The piston is chromed or otherwise trated, simply "polishing it" won't workfor very long. When you do this at least change the piston as well it is not that expensive.
putting new pads on these disks is not a good idea, either change or, if the wear limit is not reached, get them smoothened out. New discs are less expensive than one may think.
Reconditioned single piston brake calipers are about 60€ a pop, they have been done by professionals and come with a warranty, always change both sides.
To sum it up; if you need a video like this to explain the work to you better let somebody do it who understands the job!

I wonder, is it your arrogance that makes you ignorant or your ignorance that makes you arrogant? In an area that applies salt to the roadways in winter vehicles will have rust and corrosion in just a few short years. I have a a few brake lines blow out, not the end of the world. I drove 75 miles on dirt logging roads in northern Maine with no brakes. Stopped at a ranger station and got brake fluid, plugged the line with a drywall screw and plastic bag for a gasket on the screw. Drove home like that, about 10 hour drive. Your just a pussy. Lol.
