Always thought 30mm would be good for armored vehicles and such. How the hell are they taking out tanks with those things.

it depends on what they're hitting and what kind of ammunition. its a 4 inch bullet slamming into whatever it is and we only see the tracer rounds which are spaced out in the magazine or clip. could be armor penetrating ammo with some high explosive. maybe some depleted uranium

Just to compare, the tanks shoot 125mm or there abouts and in theory should hold up to that with reactive armor.
Blasting the tank repeatedly with 30mm round the reactive armor does nothing, but still, it's like a pea shooter in comparison.
