the cool thing about being australian is we have no countries on our border.
if you don't count tasmania that is, they're pretty close.

Ha! Always funny to see Aussies having a go at folks from Tasmania. Kind of like yanks making fun of people from Ohio or Florida I reckon.
I never understood the reference to Tasmanians having two heads though..

Yep. Don't get me wrong, they're fine as neighbours go. World's longest undefended border and all that. Canadians frequently find themselves defending Americans to others eg. they're really not that bad. etc. But outnumbering Canadians at 10:1, and being as self-absorbed as they are (I mean that's a thing. can confirm) it's no wonder they know a lot less about Canada (or care to) than the reverse. Still good people though.

Exactly. But at least now most folks can whip out their phone for a quick facts check. I mean, he makes a valid point about the education system not having mentioned any of that early stuff, but to be fair, in Canadian highschools the US gets 3 sentences worth of mention. War of 1812 (US lost). World's longest undefended border (thanks for the seasonal cheep labor, Mexico). And biggest trading partner. That really is it (1B flows across that border each day).
