I've grown a lot and hydro can be amazing. In my experience and some others have found it to be true, entire crops sometimes get wiped by mold and fungus because of the water even when it is fought. Some people have it down. I use fertilized soil from my compost pile on drip lines and timers for the lights. Never a problem.

Ok, so have I, doesnt answer my qeustion though! there are pros and cons to both soil and hydro. I started growing when I was 12. Printed off hightimes articles from the internet and learned how to do it. I had an old lady neighbor that taught me everything about growing in her garden in exchange for helping her out, I was around 5-6 when she cuaght me picking in her garden and said she'd let me have all I want and she'll teach me everything if I helped her. By 17 I was growing pretty well and doing experiments with breeding. I was offered a job in Cali growing in a greenhouse, $150k a year, had it all worked out and about a month before I was going to move there the owners were raided by the Feds and they took around $750k and destroyed all their plants, it ruined them and they havent started again since.

Yeah, no way to really answer the question. The mold and fungus was just my problem, along with people I know. Shut down a month before starting!? That sucks. Wherever it's illegal, you can't tell ANYBODY. Friends, family, girfriend, whoever. It just takes one person to leak it and it spreads like wildfire. A big operation like the one you were going to is tough because the Feds monitor electricity use, have infrared cameras on planes/helicopters, and other technologies I'm sure. It should be legal everywhere. Big pharma dealing pills making billions with doctors pimping out prescriptions at massive prices is a much bigger threat. Espresso and bong hit time baby!

In the news video it said hydro is illegal still, thats why I asked "why no hydro?" LOL. As for the greenhouse deal, it was and still is legal in Cali but the Feds under Obama still raided growers and weed shops to steal from them. The states legalized it but the Feds still have it up there with meth and heroine and cocaine. Thats why no banks will touch money from the weed industry and thats why the government sees it as free money, oh also criminals who kidnapp the growers and weedshop owners becuase they have to bury it or keep it in a safe. Its like the wild west all over again. Government and organized criminals are basically the same thing nowadays.

I didn't even see that! That really is bizarre. There is hope. The Feds under Trump aren't raiding growers and shops like Herr Obama bet. The Feds don't touch legalized growers and dispensaries where I live in the summer anyway. State politicians however, are raking in cash through payoffs for licenses. I think its all about growing your own now. I'll never buy it again which sucks because I loved the convenience.

Hydro is not natural, maybe thats why they ban it, ive grown hydro to, but if i would start again, i would grow in soil with lots of perlite and Canna grow supplements they give the highest crop yields https://www.canna.nl/producten

Oh please, you dont know what you're talking about. Hydro nutrients take the basic salts/elements from nature and gives them to the plant in a water soluble form, salt. You can get all "natural" hydro nutrients if you want, if you believe all the advertising but at an elemental level the plant doesnt care or know the difference. Is it "natural" if you extract Nitrogen from cow manure or Potassium from wood ash? Thats like saying saying herbal supplements are not natural. Hydro IS natural, you are giving the plants the most basic elements it needs without waste of plant matter or feces or have to deal with disease or other pests and best of all you can control the amount you give the plant with precision.  Canna nutrient line is the most freakin expensive crap out there and at the most basic level the plants will uptake only the nutrients it needs and cares not where it comes from or how you made it. Dont fall for that corporation bullshit advertising and dont believe what the grow shop tells you, they are in the business of making money and selling you the most expensive shit they can. I've done it all man, I've used Canna and others, I've used Miricale grow, I've made my own compost tea from compost buckets and worms, done hydro and soil. They all have their pros and cons and all are good if you know what you're doing. General Hydroponics nutrient line is the cheapest and its all you need. Add in some benificeal microbiotics from compost tea and you're good to go.

Yeah, there is a lot of BS out there. I've gone back to what works for me. More than anything else, it has been the turbo chronic clones that have turned out some incredible yields.

Of course. One of the smallest fucking states in the country (where the politicians are) get a banned substance legalised.

Cunts. Legalise it everywhere

A dispensary opened about 5 miles from my house. People were speechless. A year ago everyone said it would never happen. The prices were insane but the quality is unreal. Purple Kush, Girl Scout Cookie, and Purple Mayhem compare well to my own Crypto Chronic harvests.

I went yesterday just to sample something new and there was no line. I couldn't understand it, there have been long lines every time. Then I saw the pricing. It MORE THAN DOUBLED!!!!!! $35 for an 1/8th was ridiculous but it's so incredible, it lasts weeks for a light smoker like myself. It was $75!!!!! The girl at the counter sheepishly said the suppliers have gouged them-who knows what's really true? I know some growers and I'm going to ask them. I told them they would fail. I'm setting up a fresh and diverse crop and will never go back-overpaid for some Purple Kush as a going away sample.

This morning the biggest story on the news is about operators of the dispensaries paying off politicians with MILLIONS and it's all making sense. Politicians saw all the money and they want their cut-same old story. Is it all the same in Australia?

Isn't giving millions to politicians called lobbying? The only way to get change?
