Yes of course, rye sourdough bread is what I grew up with.
Now thanks to LIDL we have a great selection of bread here in Mallorca too!

Same here. All we had was rye bread. 

Although the white stuff tastes good, it's not that far off from pastry.

Weird.  You can just go to the bakery in the grocery store and they make fresh bread without all the crap.  Or a bakery.

BTW the UK is really shit for bread too! Or it was when I lived there around the turn of the century. I even started making my own sourdough bread.....
