That's all cool and whatnot but until the technology is engineered or refined to the point where it's roughly the same cost as doing things the old way it's not gonna appear anywhere beyond clips like these.
I mean... supposedly the US soldiers in Iraq had shitty vehicles(and non-existent bodyarmor) at the beginning of that war not because the technology didn't exist to make better shit but because money.

Not everything DARPA does ends up being used for military. The windowless cockpit looks to be quite practical for civi & military use.

Here's to hoping relatively new military technology, even publicly presented ones like these, get released to the public soon instead of sometime in the next 20 years.
