so, i think i'ts a good idea but, i also think i needs to be tested to see if it works.
drogue chutes can be used to slow something down. space x deploys them at about 550kmph with the dragon capsule. at half a g or 4.9m/s you would slow from 800km/h to 0 in about 45 seconds. but that's dependant on air viscosity, mass, weight and wind resistance blah blah. the blunt nose can be shed for something more bulbus if the system needs to be deployed. that is if having a blunt nose really does prove to be an issue. keeping it aligned may be interesting but the chutes will probably take care of that. it occures to me that it may be far simpler to dump the wings of the airframe and go from there.
but yeah, there may be some whiplash and lawsuits

The cabin is an integral part of the plane's structure, a detachable design does not make sense as it would add too much weight.
I like Nakeys detachable wings idea but who would want to fly on a plane that has explosives attached to the wings for emergency use only? Plus all the parachutes and aibags will take up a lot of space, will it be handluggage only?
