Seriously though, the learning curve must be pretty steep and all those crashes amount to a fair bit of $$$.
Or do they just spend hundreds of hours on a sim.

My friends dad had one. They come with a computer simulator so you can get the controls to muscle memory before you go out, but everyone crashes those things. Money pits.
