Remains to be analysed how long the batteries actually last, finland is a bit of an extreme environment for electric car batteries, I guess. Changing the battery in an EV every 8 years is a bit expensive.....

I have a work collage who got a VW idq4. Ever since he's been preaching about the benefits of EV's.
Winters been cold so far here. I've been trying to sqeeze an answer out of him how's the range when temps go below -20C. So far no clear answer.

Some older models seem to lose up to 30%, I doubt this is the case wit the id3, though.
