Seems like we need more protection at our schools. This would never happen if we had 5-10 armed guards at each school. Banks and jewelery stores use them and that's just for money and things, we don't want to guard our kids!?! Maybe a bill introduced to give states money for school guards since we're increasing our military budget anyway.

It's the middle of Feb and there has already been 5 school shootings where kids were deliberately targeted and ended up being injured or killed. There's been 18 total gun discharges in schools alone, some by accident even. And yet, all politicians say is to avoid the obvious fact and let's "pray" or "focus on the victims".
The guns aren't going away. Trumps definitely not going to say "ok everybody, hand in your guns." That'll never happen. So what then? As much as I disagree with him, he's mentioned he's focusing on the mental illness side of it, which frankly the entire US population could benefit from a focus on mental illness - so it's something at least, it remains to be seen what that actually means, and how it's going to be accomplished.
The fact is, the guns are still there and won't be going anywhere. Time will tell, but meanwhile the obvious solution to every other country looking in is exactly the one we'll never even try.

I like how Trump's and the Republican's budget minimizes BOTH mental health care and education. But we do indeed need $25,000,000,000 for a wall that won't solve the problem it is addressing, though. A few kids get bullets in their brains at schools, well that's just the price of freedom, ya'll. Unfortunately we just can't do anything about it, guys.

Don't forget the 160 billion dollars that was just assigned to the military for the 1000 US bases around the world. I don't know if this is true, but Jimmy Dore said Bernie had proposed paying for everyone's school and it would cost only about 65 billion dollars, or a third of the adhoc increase in military spending that was approved easy as pie.
Well, turns out the "white nationalist" claim from the media was utter horse shit.

Honest question: if you would have to choose Left or Right, would you say that 4-Chan is a Left or Right site? I'm just interested in seeing the source of this misinformation.
