I thought the waldo / robotic arm on this garbage truck was pretty cool and realized it would have been hard-core science fiction when I was a kid. I expect they'll be driving themselves in a few years.

I was thinking today that i remember a time where we did not have the Coca Cola half liter on the go bottles, you had cans, glass bottles and the big 1.5 liter then later the 2 liter bottles came, and the half liters, acctualy i have as a small kid never seen any small plastic bottles of any brand.
But back then all was trown in the garbage...

I remember returning small pop bottles for 2 cents. Returning 5 of them would get you enough for a chocolate bar.

The one it didn't take is a different color can representing another product that gets picked up by another truck. One for garbage, one for recycling paper/plastic, one for food/green waste.
