It's incredible how much there is in the radio domain of the electromagnestic spectrum. From tracking plans and boats. To receiving pictures taken from a weather satelite or monitoring the HF bands and hearing people from more than 1000km away. I got a recording from last year of the Arecibo radiotelescope sending signals similar to what's HAARP was doing. Making antennas is a nice past-time too. I encourage anyone having an interest in science to get a cheap $15 rtl-sdr dongle (Originaly used to receive tv) and experiment with it. You can tune something from 30MHz to 2000MHz with a 2MHz bandwith. The dongle only receive and connot transmit.

Jamming any frequency, even at very low power, is illegal. You could replicate the experiment using a wired system tho. I'm not a professional but that's what I understood.
