i dont know why they dont make a 'normal' show set 20 years after nenmes..they could use cameo appearances from tng characters ds9 voyager..it makes sense to me....i see now at the end of the video its a legal and money issue as usual..shame..

This is why i secretly hope Discovery fails. Make CBS realize that the only way it works is the old way. The TNG way. Something similar is happening to Star Wars. The Last Jedi and Solo failures have made Disney reconsider what they thought people wanted. They even brought JJ Abrams back and have given him the power to correct its course. I read the other day he was talking about giving Rey's parentage meaning. Which, like... totally undoes the whole plot of The Last Jedi. If they gave him that kind of creative control then they know they fucked up. Maybe with Discovery's failure CBS will do the same thing.

Orville, just had to cast himself, he's got enough face for two guys! And Don't tell me "A million ways to die in the west" was about anything but getting close to Charlise... it's like you hear his dick gettign hard in every shot...

That being said, not one ... but two multi billion dollar shows.... the guy is a comediy genious and a hardcore roast master. Leave some talent for the rest of the plebs you greedy, pompus .... wunderkin.

The Orville was a weird animal for me. He's not a very good actor, and I don't much like the actress that plays his x-wife. On the other hand I was surprised to see Norm Macdonald has a fairly significant part in the show and there are some interesting moments in season 1. The dude who had to sit on the egg episode was pretty creative.
The thing is - the show didn't seem to know what tone it's supposed to have. Seems like it wants to be a ridiculous comedy when that's what Seth wants, and then a cutting drama when he wants it that way, and it doesn't always work. There are episodes, like the tree growing in the ship ep, where it feels like a cheaply-constructed Family Guy segway stretched out and filled with shit that happens.

I hate the whole sci-fi fantasy crap.
It's ether sci-fi meaning that it could happen in the future or it's fantasy meaning breaking all the rules of reality for the sake of dreaming. The whole micelial network crap is just fucking crap, the plot has some good stuff but it seems like the go for the wow factor to much and end up with ridiculous fantasy crap .
Also i fuking hate the homosexual couple in the show not because i hate the gays but because it's just there for no reason, it's pointless and cringy, is it supposed to address the gay male star trek fan community? Large fanbase right ? What the fuck am i supposed to do for 2-3 minutes every episode just go oh well i am so not a homophobe that i will watch men kiss withough barfing in my own mouth. Oh hey you just paused the whole fucking episode to show me two fagots kising. They break the imersion into the storyline for no fucking good reason.
How about they address the actuall fanbase and that is mainly white straight males that got hooked on TNG with plots that make you think about morality, reality and the universe. Plots that are ment to expand your mind. This whole Discovery crapsorm is looking more and more as a le't milk the Star Trek universe and take a big steaming dump on it's chest.
The black chick is hot as fuck tho.

Have to agree with you there. The majority of the fan-base is literally while middle aged dudes. All the diversity and inclusion of other people is awesome and all, but again, the majority of your Fan-Base is While heterosexual males. They cant understand certain aspects that Discovery is going towards. Like for me, its difficult to relate to alot of the personal relationships and situations because I'm not those things. Its cool theyre included, but in the end you alienate via proxy the majority of your fan-base because they're physically or emotionally unable to understand many of these relationships.
