Dog is stressed. The guy did NOT get bit "feeding the dog" but petting it on the head, which the dog considered as an attack. In contrary to common belief dogs generally don't like to be petted on the head and consider it a threat. Dogs that do tolerate or even like it have been conditioned (probably from very young age) to accept it.

Thats why you never pet a dog you dont know. Most of the people I know who have been bitten tried to pet the dogs. Most animals see your hand as an attack.
