Helped a Humming Bird

We found a hummingbird in our chicken coop. We think it's an Anna's Hummingbird. It was breathing but lying still. She added some hummingbird nectar concentrate to water and tried to feed it some. Eventually, it took some small drinks, then later some large ones. After a half-hour or so it flew to one of the windows. I let it land on my hand & carried it outside. Saanich (Victoria), Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
