I still remember very clearly the conversations I had when I was in journalism school in the late 90s with avid far left admirers of Joseph Stalin singing his praises and looking forward to the day when they could take the people who don't think right and put them in camps for re education. I still remember my horror at seeing these young women flick their hair and giggle as they said these things and when I asked what would be done with those who went to the camps and could not be re educated the response was immediate. They die. One of those 2 went on to become a chief correspondent for CBC television.

I can recall conversations with convinced communists that I had in east Berlin in the early 80's and even they had abandoned Stalinisism. You must have attended a special school!

Graduated 1999 from Carleton University journalism school which was the number one or two in North America so it was pretty special. Perhaps you went to a special school or perhaps you are very limited in the scope of your general awareness since the notion of re education camps and making sure that liberals get the bullet too is very strong within a certain segment of Bernie Sanders supporters. That said you say you went to school in the 80s. There hadn't been enough time gone by yet to introduce the new version but it was well underway in the 90s. Then it took a hiatus for about 10 years and came back with a vengeance around 2010. Just so we understand each other Stalin himself need not be involved. LOL you understand it would have a new name perhaps something like communist boldfartism.
