Hate to break it to ya but the vast majority of Americans did NOT want to enter WWII. They knew about the genocide of the jews but didnt care. America entered WWII becuase of Pearl Harbor, which was allowed to happen to give a reason to enter. The federal government was sympathetic to the British but the Americans population, which comprised of Italian and Germen decent didnt give a fuck about the British or that Germany was winning and kicking Russa's ass. Just like the North(Unoin army) didnt give a fuck about freeing slaves. It was about econimics and NOT morals or ethics. Same with Sadam Hussian and Veitnam. If we went to war for marally or ethically correctness then we would be eliminating every crual dictator or regimne out there, but we dont.
