Easy peasy.... got a sauna right by!...... - 30 and -50 feels the same. The water is 4 degrees c...... if he was an ice bather ........this is where you relax and use the "warm" water.....point is to chill out litterally.
EDIT: what the fuck was i talking about, never ever been in -50. -30 Sure on land.

fuuuuck that. most people get frost bite just by having their face exposed at -50deg

A lot of old people do that here in Finland. Difference is we don't have -50 weather and after that they run into the sauna.
But it's actually really good for you, not just some folk remedy. You don't get sick as easily, helps with arthritis and joint pains. Counterintuitive, but it works.
I've never done it, I have trouble going into the water even in the summer.
