you're a bit slow, the covid management protests ended days ago (they went for 2 days, not "weeks") & they resulted in some positive changes.

was a good opportunity to expose some hypocrites tho...

About 2 years and 9 months to late, not 4 day's....... :)

In china they are protesting with white paper because they feel like they have nothing to say in how things are going, it is a protest against dictatorship.

They where chanting - Xi Jinping step down -

But you didn't watch the video

I see a guy with painted hair and sunglasses breakdancing and according to one cop he struck out, on the right they are running to get the ball and there is a scuffle in the middle about the ruling, the rest are spectators.

US deputy secretary of state reluctantly admitted that protests in China actually work.

Hope it's true and they will stop with the covid scare and shutting places down.

At my work, many of our suppliers have said there will be delays since whole factories are closed due to covid.

it's in a transitional phase & has been since early November when new policy came out to start easing & optimising restrictions. One of the main problems was that local govts are able to interpret how they do things (despite what a lot of people think, China is quite decentralized). Some local govt actually increased some restrictions but now the people have spoken they seem to have got the message, at least in some of the main provinces - Chonqing, Beijing, Guangzhou to name a few. What I'm saying is don't expect any major, sudden changes. If they happen that's a bonus. It's gonna depend on how their health system copes with this shift towards easing restrictions as much as anything. The policy seems to be heading towards "look after yourself more" (rather than the govt shouldering all the responsibility).

''but now the people have spoken they seem to have got the message, at least in some of the main provinces''

Lol they are scared of a full uprising, why where these ppl put on the bus?

Wait i will tell you..

Just for being at a protest

No criticism alowed

You seem to enforce the same rule.

''The policy seems to be heading towards "look after yourself more" (rather than the govt shouldering all the responsibility)''

What is the government going to do when this go's in effect, they just give up?

All this while you are chanting ''nothing to see here ppl it is already over''.
