As eyesight is deteriorating I am thinking of getting the 1/2 TB version of the note 9, never been fond of iphones or other apple products. Besides other issues their compatibility and upgradeability are outright shit.

My 90 y/o granmother with macular degeneration has a note 9, It has some nice vision enhancing and customizable stuff. They make good products.
I've also liked my moto z play.

If you really need that much storage go for it...that price tag though. There's plenty of options out there that are just as capable and come in under half the price.
I'm a happy owner of OnePlus 5 128gb. The Chinese (at least these guys) have really upped their game and are trying to keep customers happy. Never had so many updates on a smartphone till this one. I've had it over a year now and I think they've rolled out 10 or so updates in that time. One thing I really like it is it's not filled with bloatware like many other these days.

I had a galaxy S, S3, and now S6. Can't complain about the quality (although my screen broke down the other day and replacing it was expensive - my fault as I did not have a recent back up) or the updates on the phone.
I could probably sell it for 150-200€ still today. I guess I wait until after christmas when the prices drop. But I need storage because I do a lot of video for my job. Also it will be written of over my company anyway.

I've had a S3, Sony Experia and now the Oneplus. All good phones.
I've fiddled with the newer Samsungs, think it was a S7. Nothing really wrong with it but I think it was kinda bloated with unnecessary shit. Not really an issue with today's storage space, but I like it when they keep it simple and let you choose your apps.
