I know, right? It's almost like politicians realized (out of the goodness of their hearts I'm sure) that energy can't be seen as being wasted needlessly at this point so they're cutting back on lighting monuments. France is also dimming the lighting of the Eiffel Tower (down to emergency lighting only). Just got married and on your honeymoon wanting a romantic night time photo in the city of lights?...Tough. They'll even be dimming the lights of the Acropolis/Parthenon. Hoping Erdogan doesn't see this as his cue to invade. Our allied NATO member state did warn us that they will come at night after all.
