All the hyenas had to do was wear it out with teamwork until it was too tired, then they could have fed the whole pack.

That's all the antelopes and any other herd or pack species would need to do. Yet they do not, except in rare cases. In some cases, for whatever reason, sometimes something happens and that does occur. It's rare, but it's something to see when a group of herd animals literally shit-kick a lion to death. And sometimes they try to larp their way to victory and this happens. It's a Rittenhouse situation for sure, lol.
