I am a novice, but I have made some of MPW's recipes before and they were never good. Let's be honest 1) he is English and English cooks and cooking are shite, and 2) he is a bit of a melodramatic douchebag with a punchable face...

The magic of Marco's teaching is that he will teach you exactly why you do things, and he will show you more about cooking in general beyond the dish he is demonstrating.

 

To achieve his results do exactly as he does. Do not get creative, try his way exactly first before trying again with your own ideas.

 

He is melodramtic because he truely loves what he does. He captures the magic in even the mundane.

 

Which of his dishes have you tried that you do not like?

Yea I do appreciate that he explains the 'why' part of things, I just don't prefer his style.

 

This was last year, but I made his chili con carne and his take on steak au poivre. I will post some more vids from chefs I dig at the moment..most are amateurs like meself.
