Say you and I were neighbors backdraft, and somewhere on my lawn in a nice out of the way spot I happen to have had
a beautifully made fireworks display, with fireworks. It's kind of out of the way of anything and everything on both of our lawns as to not be a direct hazard to either of our homes. One day you wake up and you're looking out your window at the backyard and you see just how empty it is. You stop and think "Damn, my backyard is empty!" while you begin to think on hosting the SN meet-up 2034. You convince yourself that you need barbecue equipment, so you decide to buy 1 single grill and 20,000 propane tanks... Instead of putting them next to the concrete patio space directly outside the backyard glass sliding doors like any other regular human on planet earth would do, you decide to put it in the faaaaar left corner nearly touching my Firework display...
Fast forward in time, the next day arrives and I express to you that this is a bit of a concern, and how I felt that the shed near the side of your house was a far more appropriate spot for 20,000 propane tanks.. I go onto inform you how this could be fairly dangerous for both of our properties. Instead of listening you start belting out Creedence Clearwater Revival lyrics then go onto say how it was either the furthest left corner for the propane tanks or it was inside your sealed off house with the Barbecue itself inside and no exceptions... Because the backyard patio where 99.9% of people keep their Grill was not sufficent for you. So we argue... we argue more, we still argue, we get bored of arguing, we go inside, we fuck our wives.
We come back the next day and we're still pissed off because we haven't settled the issue though are wives are pretty happy at least. Anyhow, I notice that there's a noticeable hiss coming from one of the propane tanks. I tell you that should relocate these 20,000 propane tanks to your shed, so that way you can figure out where the leak is coming from and which of the tanks is leaking. Instead of agreeing you respond with a long "nahaaaaaahaaaahdsdhjdhdshdsahdhdhhhhhhhh!!! I got this!" You pull out a pack of matches... I immediately yell stop.... you start walking towards the tanks... I repeat once more..
"Stop..." it is of no use.
You respond with "I am an expert! I know my way around a Tesseract like the back of a propane tank."
You apporach it with the lighter as I yell out "YOU'RE NOT A FUCKING EXPERT, YOU'RE JUST A FUCKER, NOW COME BACK HERE WITH THE M..." It is too late. you have lit the matches and now both of our properties are damaged and either me or yourself are now suspect to whatever possible injury.... So I'll leave it to you to decide on who is doing the pissing.

I have my own little story. Shorter but still.
Bob and Fred are neigbours. They're both kind of assholes.
They fight constantly about all kinds of stuff. They piss off each other in various ways.
Bob lets their dog shit on Freds yard. Fred throws trash on Bob's lawn. Bob plays loud music at night just to piss off Fred.
Fred steals Bobs Amazon deliveries.
Both of them try to get other neighbors on their side of the story and talk shit about each other.
One day Bob has had enough. He takes his .45, walks into Freds living room and blows Freds and his wifes head off.
Somwhow Bob walks because the cops never had enough evidence against him.
Who do you stand with?

Well.. It is a trick question to an extent, though I will answer it regardless.
Bob really fucked up with that Dog shit if he was the one kicking it all off to begin with.
Fred however, really fucked up by not getting the situation under control before it progressed further.
It sounds like Fred resorted to his neighbors shit instead of stepping up to the plate to set the example.
Fred had reason to believe that his neighbor was psycho shit for not caring about the dog shit so in that essence Fred holds some weight of responsibility for allowing his neighbor to become irratic leading to his spouses and his own demise.
It isn't pretty but it is what it is. If Fred had made a formal complaint to the point of a fine, that might of been enough to calm the situation. MAYBE. Not saying that Bob wasn't entirely off the rails as a possibility though it is also fair to say an unstable person will likely respect result more than harassments. So... Fred resorting to the garbage thing was a personality flaw of Freds as I already pointed out above. Bob, although not innocent could make some argument that his neighbor had pushed him to his limits. I am not sure how well that would hold up... Though there would definitely be a case to be had.
HOWEVER... to get to the answer: I would side with neither. Since both were being unreasonable. Hmm.. If I had to side though, in theory I would side with Fred if it was matters of life or death and not simply Dog shit, hah. Bit of shit or trash probably doesn't justify killing the dude or his fam. Once more however, Bob needs to also bare some major responsibility
in this hypothetical.

I would agree under the context of how it fits in with what we've said here. Yes that would be right.
Outside of this context, I would say not always, No. Sometime's it is actually the justified move. It would all be dependant on the severity of a situation and to whatever degree of ignorance involved from the opposition. Situations that would otherwise cause global chaos if not tended to would be an appropriate usage of that "term" under some confines. For some victim I guess they might possibly argue (If they could) that it would be a dick move obviously. Although If you asked others maybe they would say it is a justified move. It's certainly not a 'nice' move though it's dependant upon the perception of the individual in how they want to apply meaning towards what is or is not justified, to label something with a positive or negative connotation in specific.
