the video is so steady, in what appears to be a constant bank and altitude on the HUD. was the F-18 on autopilot? or is that just the camera being tilted?

The camera is mounted on a pod with tracking capabilities. Also when they mention the UFO is rotating, it's mostly glare from the lens pivoting when the plane level up.
