The Origin of Reaction Videos (22 seconds)

The first reaction video ever filmed: circa1978. Twenty-two seconds of me (Karl Johanson) lifting a car and John Wright (of the band No Means No) reacting. Originally on 8mm film, digitized in 2023 using a Guangzhou H & F Electronics Technology Co. Ltd. film digitizer. John and I watched The Making of Star Wars and it gave us some ideas for a brief airplane movie largely using motion of the camera rather than the model for the effects. There was some film left over after we blew up the model plane, so we did some brief bits, including this reaction vid, which also uses a camera motion effect. Filmed in Saanich (Victoria), Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
