I'll never forget the image: my wife, exhausted from hours of labor and pushing, face flushed of color--the doctor, covered in latex and afterbirth, grinning behind his surgical mask as he placed the newborn on my wife's chest--my own trembling hands stabilizing only as they wrapped around my wife's shoulders in a congratulatory hug.
In the chaotic, poetic, serene clarity of that moment, an epiphany hit me like a message from heaven:

Other way around for me. I hated Fox and right wingers in my 20's due to 9/11 and the Iraq/Afghanistan war. Then recently have seen the left become globalist corporate bootlickers, far from the skeptical anti-mainstream hippies that they once were. Thus I now side with the average citizens that are living in the real world and who just want to work and raise their family.
Dude needs to take a bath and get some sun.
