my mom text me today. My little brother was at the Protest buying and bringing food to the truckers for free. I'm so proud of my brother.

If you are talking about the same video I saw. Where the chief is talking to many other officers. He said THEY the officers will be investigated and prosecuted if they bring them food and water. That's how I understood that video.
Not that the public would get in trouble, but the officers would get in trouble.

if they wanna get somewhere they have to demonstrate they can inflict sustained commercial damage - this'll bring business community pressure on the political class.
the road blocks are effective for this, they should do more of that & hope the authorities fuck up.
it's been about a week now, it's gone beyond a protest & looks more like a movement the politicians have to deal with it sooner or later, trying to brush it under the rug or marginalize it won't work so long as it has energy.
