When I was in the army I had the opportunity to shoot a similar gun to the one that blew into his face, boy that was fun! Almost 40 years ago and still a vivid memory and a story I like to tell.

oh yes!
I still wonder what went wrong. These things are "bulletproof", they have to be as they are used in combat. We most definitely did not get the whole story.

Yeah thats what I thought that these things should be bulletproof. Could be that the launcher itself was faulty or someone messed with it. Maybe it was deactivated and then someone fixed it, so it could be used. Read from the comments that it requires welding something, and if the seam isn't perfect it can explode.
