The claim:
- The Russian government hacked the DNC servers, downloaded an archive of John Podesta's emails & gave them to Wikileaks
The evidence:
- None. Seriously, there's no known publically available forensic evidence to link the Kremlin to the attack/leak, just statements & reports
- The first company to claim 'Russia did it' was CrowdStrike, a Cybersecurity firm hired by the DNC
- CrowdStrike examined DNC's servers, something FBI was not allowed to do, and its conclusion has been repeated by the intelligence community
CrowdStrike:
- Refused to testify in public to the House Intelligence Committee on what it knows
- Coined the term "Cozy Bear" and "Fancy Bear", which the US intelligence agencies ran with
- Co-founder & CTO is a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council (propaganda arm of NATO)
- Collaborated on the 2014 Sony hack which was blamed on North Korea based on a typo
- Used unproven claims by a pro-Putin blogger to wrongly conclude Russian hackers had helped to virtually wipe out Ukrainian artillery
Other hacks around the 2016 election:
- It appears that Russian-speaking hackers were responsible for a number of attacks related to the election, but ZERO evidence connecting those hackers to the GRU, FSB, SVR, or any other Russian government department
- The DHS/ODNI explanation for blaming the Russian government for these security breaches:
We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia’s senior-most officials could have authorized these activities.

First paragraph...
First link is just a WaPo article referencing CrowdStrike's analysis.
The 2nd link leads to threatconnect & onto the Crowdstrike "blog article detailing the breach of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) by two Russia-based threat groups", looking there for the most compelling evidence that the Kremlin was involved we have:
"may indicate affiliation with GRU"
CrowdStrike have shown to be less than stellar in their use of language and data in the past. They made a wild claim that was later debunked about Russia hacking Ukraine's military. A claim they also said "have been confirmed by others in the cybersecurity community.”

Well look at all the 1 star votes. Looks like the "ORANGE MAN BAD" users on here don't enjoying having their conspirary explinations for losing in 2016 debunked.
