Maybe the engine analogy is a bit more precise than predicting when the Arctic will be ice-free.

You still have to show me the peers reviewed scientific studies that give more than actual rough estimates for this.... Not exactly knowing when the arctic is going to be ice free fits nicely into the analogy btw.
