0 - 6,200 °F in 5 seconds. i'm very curious what would happen to someone strapped to that missile
in the 70's, usa and the ussr entered into the anti-balllistic missile treaty, where they agree to limit their anti-ballistic missile capabilities. each was allowed to have two abm complex with up to 100 ambs. one complex to be used to protect the capitals(washington/moscow) and one to protect one intercontinental ballistic missiles field. they also agreed to not develop, test mobile land, sea or air ambs. i get how peace through mutual assured destruction works but i always found it weird that part of it is allowing yourself to be hit

I just recently watched Fail Safe(1964) and found the concept of mutual agreement of destruction to be fascinating, a very interesting philosophical discussion indeed. That movie is a forgotten gem and it's terrifying to think about the numerous, now almost forgotten real defense treaties we had covering subjects like that.
