I don't get it - I saw the scene where Superman turns back time in a TV version of Superman II when I was a child. I remember it. But another doc I just saw says that was cut from the film and restored in the 2006 Donner cut. I'm confused.

iirc the "official" cuts mostly apply to theatrical releases. TV and video releases have different deals and you might see several versions
I saw this discrepancy several times as a kid, robocop and lawnmower man come to mind as "what the fuck, this isnt like the last time"
