i remembered a thought i had. if a fire demon where to appear and demand worship. the consequences of not is to be set ablaze. weighing out the options and potential burning for eternity if other religions end up being the right one, being set ablaze in my current state of existence seems worse cause i've got a vague idea what the pain will be like where as the pain in the afterlife is unknown. reconstituting a body for me with neural pathways for no reason other than to feel pain seems a bit extra. i'd pray to the fire god

no, they get launched in the general direction of its intended target. it spins and rolls burning off excess fuel as it makes adjustments to its trajectory. the missile isn't trying to chase the target down from behind or hit it from the side cause both of those still have the potential of leaving the warhead intact which falls to the ground. what you're seeing is the missile trying to put itself in a position where its on the same flight path as the target but its traveling in the opposite direction. so when the missile blows up, its putting shrapnel into the path of targets warhead
