Baptist preachers are unfortunately often synonymous with huxters these days. This guy knows that his angry message is actually pandering to a specific demographic and will actually draw donations and larger audiences (again, from that demographic).

Not what I'm saying, at all, and you know it. Also agree with your point below. But I'd sooner draw the line at prosecuting the abuser and instead show more compassion for the manipulated (sheeple, as you would call them). I've been down south and through the Bible belt states where daily consumption of this type of polemic rhetoric is just..normal. Maybe even part of the local culture.
