David Pakman needs to understand the folly of attempting to make an absolutist determination on every point, and understand Tim's wisdom in rejecting reasoning based on doctrine or the "laws of the pharises" for policies that actually reflect the nuanced complexity of actual reality.

You want them to talk about a subject without getting anywhere?

Accepting that the issues they are discussing conjugate to "no certain answer" in the context of our current polarized and highly misrepresentative context IS getting somewhere. Tim is honest - Pakman is reaching to be "right" but lands on some nuance at the end so I give him credit for that.

Tim takes that position a lot. Everything's "nuanced", "complicated" or "challenging" unless it's super low-hanging fruit. Maybe he doesn't wanna get attacked so he plays it safe, I dunno, but his style doesn't lend well to debating a topic, mostly because he doesn't seem to know what he thinks. Maybe he tries to be a neutral journalist when he should be someone with an opinion.

So much nuance...
It's funny when these anti-SJW clickbait experts who constantly bag on "the left" have a debate with a leftist & have nothing worthwhile to say. I guess it's complicated.

Conservative media is dominating - Tim was a Bernie Bro. I don't think you understand where he's coming from, and where his disgust is centred.

He's a clickbait hero. His disgust is meaningless, it's just a bunch of culture war memes that resonate with a certain audience. It's empty indignation, as demonstrated in this video.
Dominating an area of media means nothing. MSNBC was dominating their space a year ago with the Russia investigation hype job.

Tim needs to figure out what his principles are.
