Here we go again.  Non-good people intend on using guns to obtain what they want are going to use a gun regardless of if it's legal for them to carry it or not.  Someone willing to violate the prohibition against murder sure as shit doesn't give a fuck about any sort of prohibition or regulation you pass relating to carrying weapons.

Which I've debunked countless times.  Licensing DOES NOTHING to effect criminal behavior.  Licensing is a merely means by which to collect taxes and/or keep track of people who, you know, already obey the law.

so good people and only good people are carrying guns.

If licensing actually worked the way you pretend it works in your imagination, we could prevent future drunk driving by simply revoking the license of someone convicted of DUI.  In the real world people who have their license revoked still drive because the benefits of driving outweigh the risk of being caught doing so without a license.  Licensing for the purpose of carrying weapons works EXACTLY the same way; which is to say, it doesn't work.
