Can an American national explain to us ex-US folks what the controversy was regarding 'aunt' and 'uncle', here. Most of us see this as a term of respect eg. for one's age. Just Jemima or Ben actually seems more desrespectful somehow.
Honestly, most of us here in Canada (and the planet over) just assumed Ben was just someone's uncle and Jemima was someone's aunt. Thanks.
