27-year-old U.S. soldier Denisha Montgomery died while stationed in Germany this summer.
The Army initially said her death was a suicide, but Montgomery’s family believes she was murdered after trying to report being assaulted by military police.
The Army has opened an investigation into Montgomery’s death after the family released a recording of Denisha describing the assault.
