A vast improvement over the trailer. But I'd still rather them skip the origin shit and get to the symbiote shit quickly.

It gave me a little bit of a wince...but I'm willing to give this a shot. There's a reason no studio has pulled the trigger on a Venom movie since people were talking about it in 1995.

I think Tom Hardy is doing a good job so far.
He sounds just like the voice actor from the 90's cartoon, except believable.

If you have ever tried 3d sculpting or modelling the challenge is unbelievable.
Form is a bitch, mesh topology is a bitch, lighting is a bitch. All of it really. Yes movies have massive budgets and pretty much infinite polygons compared to games. However it's a time consuming process and movies have tight deadlines. To do just ONE image, ONE scene is crazy work and up to hundreds of EXPERT level man hours to accomplish.
Now make 1/2 to 2/3 of a movie worth of these effects.
Money aside. What's the difference between a bedroom modeller and an expert? Knowledge of the tools, when to use them and how.
If you want to try for fun and for free, download Blender and FOLLOW some tutorials. It's not the same tool that the big boys use, but it teaches you the process. And given enough time and learning, it's about as powerful as the top tools out there, just not as streamlined.

To be honest, some of those sequences looked kind of shitty. I know there's been hype about Venom, but from this it seems the movie is just using him as a stretchy limb and scary face(But I could be wrong).
Another movie, called "Upgrade", is also a film about someone who has a voice in their head, though it is an A.I, which makes him very powerful. But in Upgrade's trailer it seems there has been more focus on the cinematography and choreography of someone who has superior fighting capabilities.
I also find it strange how similar the actors' faces are, and wonder if this movie also had Tom Hardy in mind for casting.
I mean he's basically Tom Hardy without the muscles. If Logan Marshall-Green lifted some more weights we'd be looking at a doppelganger.
Anyway, the Venom trailer fails to convince me that it's going to be that great. That motorcycle jump just looked fucking comical. I'm worried about what the fuck the director is thinking.
Seems like, and this is just a gut feeling, that since every writer, director, anything to do with this movie has been changed over the years, Tom Hardy is the only one left who respects the character.
